We are a group of caring Oaklanders that are organizing together to put an end to traffic violence throughout Oakland.

We believe that traffic violence is a systemic solvable problem and should not be simplified to the errant behavior of a couple bad drivers. We believe we can build safe streets for everyone using internationally recognized street designs that prioritize the safety and comfort of all residents, especially our most vulnerable.

We respond to incidents of traffic violence by raising awareness about the incident, lifting the voices of the victims and the community, and demanding concrete action from those with the power to help.

We’ve already made an impact. Neighbors from across Oakland and beyond have contributed their time, effort, and love to actions we help organize. You can too! Something as simple as an email to the Mayor, or as big as organizing a protest, and lots in-between, everything helps move the needle on local advocacy.
